A special meeting of all the The Comboni Missionary Bishops gathered in Limone, Italy in September 2017. They celebrated Mass in the town’s parish church where St. Daniel Comboni used to say Mass when he visited home. Bishop Juan José Aguirre Muñoz, who was the main celebrant. He wore the same vestments that used to belong to St. Daniel Comboni!
Bishop Aguirre has been featured in the news lately because of his dedication to the people of the Central African Republic. He is helping Muslims and Christians alike take refuge from the violence overtaking the country right now.
