Fr. Jose Manuel Garcia Oviedo celebrated his 25th Anniversary as a Comboni Missionary priest with a Mass and celebration held in his honor at Mary Queen of Heaven Church in Cicero, Illinois.
Fr. Sergio De La Torre and the parishioners of Mary Queen of Heaven put together the joyous celebration which included a Mariachi band, DJ and delicious homemade food. Several hundred parishioners, friends, family and Comboni supporters attended the event.
Many of his confreres help celebrate the Mass with Fr. Jose including Fr. John Converset, Fr. Jose Manuel Garcia Oviedo, Fr. Chris Aleti, Fr. David Baltz and Fr. Sergio De La Torre.
Congratulations Fr. Jose and may God bless you with many more years of joyful missionary service.
