Getting water to villages in Kenya can be a difficult task. However, thanks to your donations and the hard work of Bro. Dario Laurencig, 20 new boreholes were dug in villages throughout Kenya last year. In 2013, he was able to place a dozen boreholes! The cost of one borehole, complete with a pump, is approximately $15,000 USD.
“Water is very important, especially in this arid area of Africa,” Bro. Dario said. “Without water there is no future and no way to start any permanent development. We have been struggling to give water accessibility to people, and I can say that we succeeded to do a lot, even if still a lot remains to be done.”
In 2015 Bro. Dario drilled another 5-10 boreholes. Thanks to your generous donations, the Comboni Missionaries were able to help support this mission project.
“I thank you again for your support and I ask the blessings of the Lord upon you and your family,” Bro. Dario said.
Since then Bro. Dario has continued his mission of bringing clean water to villages in Eastern Africa, adding at least another 10 each year.
